1871 joined Columbia College Chicago to announce a partnership that will match Columbia students with 1871 startups to complete real client work as a part of the students’ advertising and public relations course curriculum.

Tullman spoke in front of a packed room at UNIQLO’s Michigan Avenue flagship store to kick off Chicago Made: Innovating for Tomorrow, a free four-part series covering topics on sustainability, global tech trends, social impact, and retail. Chicago Made is a joint effort between 1871 and UNIQLO and will run every Thursday from 6-7 p.m. (CDT) at UNIQLO’s Michigan Avenue store through March 1st.

Global real estate services firm, Cushman & Wakefield announced today that they have renewed their partnership with 1871 for an additional three years. The partnership will provide Cushman & Wakefield with access to space, a branded classroom, and participation in both the advisory board and key events.

1871 announced today the first cohort of the Advanced Member Program (AMP), a six-month program geared toward scaling, later-stage companies.  In addition to the regular benefits of 1871 membership, AMP participants receive additional resources, including specialized, stage-specific workshops.

1871 announced today a new partnership with the Chicago chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), which will include an exchange of resources and event opportunities in order to better serve women entrepreneurs from both communities. NAWBO represents the collective voice of over 10.1 million women-owned businesses in the U.S. and seeks to advance the interests of all women entrepreneurs across all industries.

Selected as one of six entrepreneurial support organizations nationwide, 1871 will a receive a grant from the Kauffman Foundation to serve as a policy advocate for entrepreneurs.
