1871’s launches BLK•Tech in partnership with Verizon, an accelerator for Black entrepreneurs in the tech industry starting on February 2, 2021. 

CHICAGO (January 5, 2021) -- Relish Works, in partnership with Gordon Food Service and 1871, are kicking off their third cohort of Food Foundry, a growth accelerator for companies building the future of the food industry, in May 2021. Applications are now open.  

On Tuesday, December 1st, 1871 hosted the final installment in a series of six policy forums supported by a grant from the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation. In light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and its economic impact on small businesses throughout the United States, we assembled a panel of leaders to discuss how federal and state policymakers can best support small business owners. Friday, October 16th marked the success of the 11th Annual Tech Challenge event! This year was particularly exciting being the first Tech Challenge held by 1871 since the merger with ITA, and our first time putting on Tech Challenge virtually.
