1871 will celebrate International Women's Day 2017 with HEART OF BOLD, a full day of free public events and workshops, culminating in a featured keynote by Feminist Fight Club Author Jessica Bennett. The event will reflect this year's theme “Be Bold for Change” with programming tailored to empower and inspire women in tech and business.
The free public event series, titled “Heart of Bold,” invites participants from all professional backgrounds to 1871 for a full day of panels, development workshops and meetups that have been specifically curated to empower business-minded women and entrepreneurs and recognize the accomplishments of trailblazers and thought leaders. The day will conclude with a featured keynote by “Feminist Fight Club” author Jessica Bennett. All events at 1871 are free and open to the public.
“1871 is a natural host for a celebration of women in technology that will bring together some of the boldest and brightest minds on International Women’s Day,” said 1871 board member and JPMorgan Chase managing director, Laura Ferris Anderson. “With programs like its WiSTEM incubator and a commitment to purchasing from women and minority owned vendors, 1871 is a consistent force in celebrating diversity in tech."
