1871 Offers DocuSign eSignature and DTM Platform to Startups to Accelerate Growth

1871 announced Friday that it will offer DocuSign, the pioneer and global standard for eSignature and Digital Transaction Management (DTM), to its startup members complimentary to help them accelerate their businesses. Startups at 1871 will gain free, one-year access to DocuSign, adding to a growing list of perks made available to member companies.

1871 is bringing DocuSign to its members following its own success going digital with DocuSign to accelerate recruiting, contracting and other formerly manual, paper-based processes. With DocuSign, 1871 and its startup members can quickly, easily and securely send, sign and manage agreements and collect deposits and payments digitally through the industry-leading DTM platform. DocuSign is used by more than 250,000 companies and more than 100 million users across 188 countries; and more than 130,000 new users – including those at startups – join the DocuSign Global Trust Network every day.

“As many of 1871’s startups are early-stage, lean businesses, we are proud to offer DocuSign as yet another valuable perk we offer to our members so that they can operate as fully digital businesses from their very beginnings,” said 1871 CEO Howard Tullman. “It is a prime example of how 1871’s corporate relationships benefit our members, giving them an edge in today’s competitive global marketplace.”

“We’re thrilled to have 1871 be part of the DocuSign Global Trust Network,” said Glenn Shimkus, Vice President of Product Management at DocuSign. “1871 was an invaluable asset for me as an entrepreneur and I’m thrilled to see Chicago’s startup incubator bringing the value of DocuSign eSignature and DTM to their startup members.”

In addition to DocuSign, 1871 members also have access to perks like student loan repayment benefit platform Peanut Butter, discounted downtown parking through SpotHero and free software and credits for Microsoft Azure cloud services and support.

Reporters with questions about perks to 1871 members or who wish to arrange interviews should contact press@1871.com or call Mick Swasko at 312-350-5183. Members from the DocuSign team will also be present as they host 1871's TGIF event, held at 4 p.m. Friday at 1871, 222. W. Merchandise Mart Plaza.
